cross-tail

one day, a horse tried to post a cloud. he folded it three times, licked the stamp, and whispered something kind into the envelope. the post office said, “no cloud posting allowed.” so he trotted home, slightly soggy but determined.

i feel like that horse. i want to send a cloud, but the post won’t accept “everyone everywhere” as a valid address, and clouds still can’t travel by stamp.
so instead, i send postcards.

i’ve set aside £20 (instead of buying something else) to send a few each month. sometimes one, sometimes five, depending on stamps, rain, and my own logic.

as soon as i know where to send, i send.
one might land in your hooves, or your paws, or your hands, or whatever you’ve got for holding a postcard.

if enough creatures feel the same, we might start something called ‘cross-tail’ — a gentle entanglement of tails and thoughts, shared with joy and no hurry.

but for now, it’s simple:

would you like a postcard? no reason, just a postcard.

you can fill out a short form at the bottom of this page, or contact me directly through social media: facebook, instagram or bluesky. i’ll read it in reasonable time, i live not far from where time begins to be counted.

if your time has a plus or a minus, please keep it in mind.
